“ Fell in love with the California Surfin burrito at a catered event several years ago. This burrito put me on surf n turf and I've been chasing something similar ever since. Finally came back to taste the sweet deliciousness of those one-of-a-kind bouncy, grilled shrimps on a bed of carne asada, fries, and plentiful guacamole. It was beautiful. A little red salsa goes a long way, but they're generous if you ask for more. Don't let the fact it's operating on the side of a car wash/gas station deter you. It's a safe area (edge of la jolla) on a large lot. Clean kitchen from what I can see. And behind the little counter window, there's super kind staff. It's to-go only as far as I can tell, but that's part of the fun. You can take the burritos out with you on a hike up Torrey Pines, just a 10 min drive away, and enjoy the view of the ocean. Recommend it to all my friends visiting SD. ”

“ This taco shop is such a hidden gem. Price is great, portion is large, flavors are bold. Food is prepared fresh. I've tried their fish tacos, seafood tacos, cabeza (crispy and delicious), adobada, plates and was always satisfied. Service is also fast. No seating available as it's just to-go. ”

I didn't see any other dining options besides the gas station in the area, so I was thrilled to discover that I could get a breakfast burrito big enough to feed a family of four for under $10. It's a walk-up window taco stand connected to the gas station. They have the nicest workers, but don't serve coffee, you need to grab a coffee inside the gas station, where the staff are also incredibly friendly. From now on, every time I get my car washed across the driveway or have my tires serviced at Discount Tire, this is where I'll be coming for some delicious food! ”
